Syllabus: | Development of the foundation competencies in therapeutic use of electrical and physical agents. Safety issues, radiation heating, phototherapy, electrical stimulation and biofeedback. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated knowledge of Electrophysical Agent modalities reviewed in this semester, including therapeutic applications, physical principles underlying E.P.A, physiological effects and relevant safety issues. Performed an appropriate assessment of client presenting a complaint and determined the appropriateness of E.P.A. Demonstrated safe and effective application of E.P modalities covered in the course. Demonstrated the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of EP intervention and modify treatment as needed. Demonstrated an understanding of medico-legal issues relating to documentation. Demonstrated an ability to plan an overall treatment program, progress treatment as needed and integrate othertherapeutic interventions into management of client/presenting condition. Demonstrated critical and conceptual thinking and ability to critically evaluate research literature relating to E.P.A. |
