Syllabus: | Students will undertake a number of self initiated projects that will enable them to develop skills in the techniques and processes of one of the following specialisations within the visual arts amongst which could include - ceramics, drawing, experimental drawing, fibre/textiles, fashion, painting, print media, sculpture, jewellery/three-dimensional design, electronic arts, audio-visual, installation, photography, professional practicum. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Developed a portfolio of work demonstrating their ability to deal with a wide range of traditional and contemporary technologies and processes within their selected area. Demonstrated a clear visual articulation of ideas using appropriate media and processes. Demonstrated advanced skills and an understanding of appropriate processes in exploring and making artworks. Demonstrated advanced skills in working in a specific discipline of the visual arts. Initiated and successfully completed projects using appropriate techniques and raw materials. |
