Syllabus:Examines the role of sport in society - sporting organisational structures in both professional and recreational sport. Sporting personnel profiles. Sports administration. Asset management. Assistance from both government bodies and corporate sponsorship. Media relations and public relations.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have - An overview of the Sports Administration course. Developed a sound understanding of the sports industry. An appreciation of the complex relationships at work in sport.
