Syllabus:An examination of property transactions from inception to final settlement and registration. Procedures and documentation relating to transfers, leases, mortgages and other conveyances. Financing and mortgages. Zoning and subdivision of land. Principles relating to compulsory acquisition of land. Public purpose controls.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Understanding of Western Australian conveyancing procedures. Understanding of the operation of the legislation which affect property transactions. Become able to identify the nature of hypothetical problems relating to property transactions and to apply the relevant legal principles to solve those problems. Developed an enhanced ability to construct legal argument and to undertake legal research in respect of property transactions.
