Syllabus:Development of skills in the use of computers to support research and development activities with indigenous people. It enables them to use electronic communications systems to communicate with other researchers, university staff and experts in their field of study. It also enables them to use remote access tools such as the World Wide Web to access libraries and other information sources internationally.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Demonstrated and understanding of basic computer terminology. Completed basic word processing and other computer operations. Communicated electronically using email. Accessed information relevantto own research from the World Wide Web.
