Syllabus:The history psychology and perception of colour. Lighting. Design and application of colour to interior space. Textiles. Sources, properties and manufacturing processes of natural and synthetic fibres. Weaving, dyeing and printing techniques. Design and application of textiles for interior space. Textile specification.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Demonstrated a knowledge of colour theories and ordering systems and their practical applications. Demonstrated a knowledge of the interaction of colour in the built environment and it's interdependence on light, form and texture.
