Syllabus: | The analysis of urban contexts, urban design considerations, place marking. Public spaces between buildings integrated with the designing of new and old buildings and statutory limits on project design - urban design studio. One of three design studio modules offered in the same semester - urban design, praxis and complex buildings. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- The ability to integrate structure, construction and site planning. An understanding of the relationship between clients, architects and various authorities. Be able to respond to the impact of budget consideration on design outcomes. |
Unit Assessment Breakdown: | Part 1- Sketch design 30%, Parts 2 and 3- Design development and Working drawings 60%, Folio 10%. This is by grade/mark assessment. |
