Syllabus:	Introduction to general medical management of clinical conditions that affect bodily systems. Continuum of health care. Incidence, aetiology, signs and symptoms, investigations, medical interventions and prevention. Occupational performance.
Unit Outcomes:	Upon completion of this unit students will be able to - Identify and describe using appropriate terminology, common disorders of bodily systems and their medical management across the continuum of care. Investigate and describe in detail the incidence, aetiology, signs and symptoms, investigations, medical interventions and prevention of specific medical conditions that are commonly encountered in occupational therapy practice. Relate scientific data of specific medical conditions to client narratives and detail the potential impact upon occupational performance.
