| Syllabus: | For advanced learners of the Chinese (Mandarin) language to improve their ability of using the language to communicate in a business context. It deals with business culture, etiquette and practices of Chinese-speaking communities through class activities, group discussions and self-directed research on China-related news and current affairs. |

| Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Gained some fundamental understanding of business culture and practices of Chinese-speaking communities. Acquired skills necessary for communicating with Mandarin-speaking clients in everyday business context. Improved ability to present company information to Mandarin-speaking clients. Developed some strategies for handling texts and reference material in Chinese and for carrying out independent research on financial news in Chinese language newspapers. |
