Syllabus:The tools and applications of spatial analysis. Visual, exploratory and confirmatory analysis for spatial data. Spatial data analysis issues. Introduction to geostatistics. Applications and examples.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will have - Appreciated the nature of spatial data and the analysis issues that arise, understood how to identify and measure spatial distributions, patterns and relationships, identified a range of techniques appropriate to the analysis and modelling of spatial data and applied these techniques to real - world applications involving geographic data.
