Syllabus:An introduction to skills and knowledge needed to conduct a professional practice as a contemporary artist. Students are shown how to prepare the relevant documentation and professional presentation needed to conduct a practice as artists. As well as thestructures of financing and grant applications students are given practical experience in how to negotiate the art world.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- The ability to participate in the matrix of structures that articulate the professional art world. Gained knowledge of how and where to gain finance, how to approach galleries and how to presentthemselves as professionals in their field.
