Syllabus: | Fluid mechanics-fluid properties, fluid statics, laminar and turbulent fluid flow. Continuity, energy momentum equations. Flow measurement. Pumps. Energy loss in pipelines and open channels. Thermodynamics-ideal gas laws. Systems- states, processes and properties. First and second laws of thermodynamics. Heat engine cycles. |
