Syllabus:Workplace contaminants and stressors and their evaluation (gases and vapours, dusts, heat, noise). Preliminary survey, selection of instruments and analytical methods. Conducting a field survey, interpretation and use of results. Instrumentation and techniques. Application of monitoring. Control strategies. Statistics, material safety data sheets, strategy of survey design.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Demonstrate theoretical knowledge of various techniques based on current research and recent advances in this area.
