| Syllabus: | Bonding and properties of materials, organic chemistry and nomenclature of simple molecules, air and water pollution. Chemical reactions and mass to mass relationships. Volume to volume relationships and chemical arithmetic. The limitations of scientificanalysis and the need for precision, especially in environmental applications. |

| Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Demonstrated knowledge of the relationship between the properties of substances and their structure and bonding. Explained types of reactions/rates of reaction and chemical equilibrium. An understanding of volumetric analysis. |
