Syllabus:Conduct a basic information and knowledge analysis of an organisation and its environment, examine the existing information resources in the organisation, analyse organisational information needs and communication patterns, evaluate the level of effectiveness of current information flow in the organisation, develop an organisational information policy.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have conducted a basic analysis of an organisation and its environment. Examined the existing knowledge resources in the organisation. Investigated the communication patterns in the organisation. Analysed knowledge and information needs of the organisation. Evaluated the level of effectiveness of current knowledge flow and use in the organisation. Developed a way forward to manage the knowledge in the organisation.
