Syllabus:The framework of sports and recreation law, the law relating to sporting groups, liability for sporting injury or damage, law and order at sporting venues, sport and the law of business, international sports law, interpretation of the rules of sports andsports legislation.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have- Described how the legal environment pertains to sport build upon basic elements of contract. Drafted a basic sporting contract without precedents. Understood how the law of torts and criminal lawrelates to the sporting environment. Appreciated basic aspects of taxation. Appreciated the dispute resolution procedures.
