Syllabus:Residential, office and retail property management, building services, maintenance policies and contracts, risk management, promotion and marketing, structuring leases and terms of sale, budgeting and expense projections and client reporting, efficient use of real estate assets of trading companies, strategic management of property portfolios.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will - Appreciate the distinctions between facilities management, property management, corporate real estate management, asset management and property portfolio management and have knowledge of what each entails. Have understood technical aspects such as leases, space marketing, tenant relations, owner relations, tendering for management business, rent review procedures, budgeting and expense projections, energy management and maintenance policies. Developedskills in preparing written reports and presenting them. Developed an understanding of computer database management through Excel.
