Syllabus:A supervised research project and preparation and submission of a dissertation.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will achieve competence and experience in the conduct of an independent research project in an area of computer science, through the oral presentation of their findings and the generation of a large written piece of work. The unit will prepare the student for a career in an academic or industrial research and development environment.
