Syllabus:Concepts, knowledge, skills and current research findings related to a selected area of care practice. Problem-solving approaches in the design and implementation of nursing care. Ethical and legal issues. Evidence-based plans of care in critical incident situations. Delivery of nursing interventions for patients requiring a selected area of nursing intervention
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated application of knowledge of research findings relevant to the development of nursing care. Demonstrated the ability to relate legal and ethical principles to the analysis of criticalincidents in nursing practice. Integrated evidence-based knowledge in the analysis of nursing care. Synthesised a conceptual framework for use in nursing practice.
