Syllabus:Physical properties of rocks - geological environments of mineralisation, oil and gas etc, and their physical nature. Gravity and magnetic fields, survey techniques. Resistivity and induced polarisation methods.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have, a comprehensive understanding of the content of the syllabus. Sufficiently completed all practical work and assignments to the satisfaction of the unit coordinator. Achieved a pass mark in any theory examination based on the subject matter.
