Other Requisite(s):Completion of second year of course: null
Syllabus:Integration and application of medical imaging science, physics, imaging principles and instrumentation with reference to CT and MRI scanning techniques and protocols. Principles of aseptic and catherisation techniques and imaging, in interventional, cardiac studies, vascular, neuro radiological procedures. Role of digital subtraction angiography and computed radiography. Competing roles of arthrography and myelography with CT and MRI imaging. Development of imaging skills, related to case related radiography.

Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will gain the ability to integrate and apply principles of medical imaging science, physics, imaging and instrumentation with reference to CT and MRI scanning techniques and protocols. They will have expanded their knowledge of aseptic and catheterisation techniques and imaging in interventional, cariac, vascular and neuroradiological procedures, the role of digital subtraction angiography and computed radiography in medical imaging science and the competing roles of arthrography and myelography with CT and MRI imaging. In the laboratory they will develop skills of dealing with specific cases in radiography..
