Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have gained familiarity with basic Software Engineering concepts and techniques including life cycle models, requirements analysis and specification (particularly structured analysis), software design (particularly structured design), implementation, testing, and maintenance, software project management and computer aided software engineering. |

Unit Assessment Breakdown: | Mid-Semester 20%. Assignment 20%. Final Examination 60%. To pass the unit students must attend a minimum of 10 (ten) practicals/tutorials and the mid-semester test, complete and submit the assignment as part of a group, obtain a mark of at least 50% in the final examination and obtain an overall mark of at least 50% for the unit. This is by grade/mark assessment. |
