Introductory theory and practice in the following counselling models - Egan, crisis intervention, task-centred, psychodynamic, Adlerian cognitive-behavioural, Rogerian existential, and feminist counselling. All models are subjected to critique of their advantages and limitations and are also evaluated from cultural and gender perspectives. Consideration of counsellors' personal qualities together with counselling ethics and value dilemmas. |
