Exploration of the nature of use and users of information resources and the notion of an information literate person - differentiates between use of resources and use of the information they contain - differentiates between users by individual user characteristics and by intentions of resource providers. Examines how the relationship between users and use varies by context and changes over time. Introduces principles of information resource evaluation. Discussions are underpinned by models and theory drawn from psychology and communications.
