Area: Science and Mathematics Education Centre Contact Hours: 3.0 Credits: 25.0 Lecture: 1 x 3 Hours Weekly
Focus on strategies to help primary teachers to teach for understanding. Topics include models of conceptual change, children's science, strategiesfor understanding children's science frameworks, content knowledge acquisition for teachers, and teaching for meaningful learning. These topics are pursued through the construction of a portfolio showing evidence of learning.
