A critical perspective of the social responsibilities of designers. An understanding of ecologically conscious design and universal or inclusive design. Skills in comprehension of written texts. |
| Theme is the social role of design - It aims to understand the potential contribution of design in bridging the gap between the destructives effects of the consumer culture and the challenges of a sustainable future. It includes an inquiry into anti-corporate activism, an exploration of design related discourses on sustainable development and corporate citizenship, and the principles of eco-design and universal design. |
