Introduction to comparative politics. An exploration of the method and uses of comparative analysis in explaining the emergence of democratic and non democratic states. Focus is on revolutions and the difference between liberal democratic, facist and communist routes to the modern world, as well as the varying success of social democratic politics within modern liberal democracies, plus a major research project.
