Provides a theoretical framework and develops appropriate research skills to enable students to locate their practice as artists within the larger context of cultural theory. Advanced research techniques including forms of electronic information retrieval such as CD ROM networks and the Internet are introduced. Case studies of artists' research methodologies through visits to studios and exhibitions.
