Stereoisomerism and drug structure. pH and pKa applied to ionisable groups in drug action and biological systems. Concepts of partitioning and hydrophobic bonding. Drug receptor interactions, proteolipid membrane systems as a locus of drug activity and receptor characterisation. Quality variations in pharmaceutical products and detection of poor quality.
