Introduction
This is a specialised professional degree. The coursework based program focuses on the use, management, application and exploitation of computing and communications based technologies that make up the so-called 'information superhighway'. It examines the ways these technologies can be used to facilitate or enable business processes - in particular those processes involving local, regional and global information exchange between individuals, and within and between groups or organisations.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A recognised bachelors degree or postgraduate qualification, or an equivalent qualification and considerable work experience.

Specific Requirements
Students must have their own Internet access.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Students who have completed units in the Graduate Certificate or Post Graduate Diploma in Business (Electronic Commerce) may transfer into this program, subject to satisfactory performance and receive credit for any completed units. Waiver from specific units may be approved but will require the student to substitute an approved unit from the optional list for the waived unit. Depending on previous field of study students may be required to complete one or more foundation units before commencing the first stage.

Duration and Availability
This fee paying course will run throughout the academic year with a view to full-time students completing the program in eighteen months.

Intermediate Awards
A student who has successfully completed all the requirements of the Postgraduate Diploma in Business (Electronic Commerce) may apply for graduation in that award subject to the approval of the Head of School. Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study. Students may incur a cost for personal Internet access.
