Introduction
This course extends knowledge of chemistry, particularly in its application to problems of an industrial or applied nature. This is demonstrated through studies in advanced concepts, advanced instrumental techniques and applications of both of these areas, and the conduct of a supervised research project and preparation of an honours dissertation.

Duration and Availability
This course is one year full-time study.

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
Special Note
Students who commenced prior to and who are continuing in this course from 2003 have the choice to graduate with either a Bachelor of Science (Applied Chemistry)(Honours) or Bachelor of Science (Chemistry)(Honours) award subject to approval by the Head of School.
