Introduction
This course focuses on the use, management, application and exploitation of computing and communications based technologies that make up the so-called 'information superhighway' and examines the ways in which these technologies can be used to facilitate or enable business processes - in particular those processes involving local, regional and global information exchange between individuals, and within and between groups or organisations. Graduates of this course will be able to take leadership roles in the introduction of these Internet-based business and management practices into a wide variety of professional work-place situations.
Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A bachelors degree or postgraduate qualification from a recognised Australian or international university or an equivalent qualification.
Specific Requirements
As far as possible the course will be supported electronically with each student required to have access to a home or office personal computer with connections to the Internet.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
Duration and Availability
This course is of two years full-time or equivalent part-time study.
Intermediate Awards
A student who has successfully completed all of the requirements of the Postgraduate Diploma in Business (Electronic Commerce) may apply for graduation in that award, subject to approval of the Head of School. For further definition refer to the Statement and Awards section under General Information.
