Course Overview
Graduate Certificates prepare students to develop advanced knowledge and skills for professional or highly skilled work and further learning corresponding to AQF level 8 qualifications.
The Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing is suitable for students seeking to develop the fundamental skills of digital marketing or extend their knowledge in various marketing areas. The course serves as an entry point for students considering higher postgraduate qualifications in the future (such as the Masters of Marketing). In this course you will learn about the fundamental principles of digital marketing, explore the foundations of each digital channel, digital tactics, strategies and processes. From identifying and articulating critical customer groups, to evaluating the fundamentals of effective SEO and SEM strategies and analysing social media marketing campaigns, you will also have the opportunity to plan and implement an online marketing campaign (Google Adwords) and learn how data analytics (Facebook to Google Analytics) can be used to guide marketing decisions.

Course Entry and Completion Details
Applicants for a Graduate Certificate are required to meet University academic and English language entry standards; details are provided at http://futurestudents.curtin.edu.au. Applicants generally require a Bachelor Degree or equivalent credit gained for recognised learning. Any specific course entry and completion requirements must also be met.
A bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, or at least 5 years' relevant work experience. Applicants must also meet Curtin's English language proficiency requirements.
Credit for Recognised Learning
Applications for credit towards a course are assessed on an individual basis. Credit reduces the amount of learning required to complete the course and may be granted for formal education qualifications, non-formal learning from non-award programs of study and informal learning through work experiences. A graduate of this course can:

2. critically analyse the key components of marketing in the digital economy and think creatively to generate strategic solutions to a range of real-world business problems
3. analyse and synthesise complex information, problems and concepts by applying digital marketing principles, strategies and technical skills
4. professionally communicate propositions, processes and outcomes to address specialist and non-specialist audiences in a spoken, visual and written form
5. design and develop digital marketing strategies using key digital tactics and techniques to deliver content across a broad spectrum of digital contexts and environments
6. develop a lifelong attitude of continuing professional development and intellectual curiosity in the marketing discipline
7. evaluate digital marketing principles and techniques in adapting to global markets in a constantly changing networked digital economy
8. understand the nature of cultural trends and diversity in various societies by incorporating ethical, social and global perspectives
