| Syllabus: | This unit teaches the ethical component into mine planning, development, operations, closure and site rehabilitation. It also looks at the OH&S Law in Mining and the history of Mine Safety Law in Australia. It further emphasises on the detection and control of hazards in mines. The unit also aims to be a Safety and Risk Management refresher on Risk Management Principles: risk vocabulary, OH&S law, RM framework, RA tools and cost of accidents. Other areas covered include Safety management Systems and behavioural science applications, influencing human behaviour, Human factors in Engineering and Injury Epidemiology. |
