Syllabus: | This studio is a summation of the Architecture Studio units for the Bachelor of Applied Science and includes Design: Studies into the design and development of buildings of medium rise, complexity and scale. Investigations into the project contexts and relationships betwee site and building. Integration of developed ideas and services into the building form and envelope. Development of strategies to apply constructional, servicing, organisational and environmental systems and processes. The co-requisite for this unit is Architectural Discourse and Spatial Intelligence Methods, where this studio’s project is communicated via visual, oral and written techniques. Work Integrated Learning will be incorporated throughout the unit by using a mode of teaching where design activity will take place in workshop situations/ on sites/ simulation of the real world project/ interaction with community and industry etc. |
