UNIT REFERENCES, TEXTS, OUTCOMES AND ASSESSMENT DETAILS: | The most up-to-date information about unit references, texts and outcomes, will be provided in the unit outline. |
Syllabus: | This unit provides students with an opportunity to further develop their skills and conceptual approach in relation to animation, 3D and motion graphics works. Particularly, it encourages students to explore established conventions, visual styles, animation techniques, audio design, narrative structures, and screen language in their own works. It is a project-based study unit that places equal importance on both conceptual development and skills acquisition. The unit allows students to build on their understanding of the different mediums in terms of their possibilities and limitations through exploration and experimentation. This is a third year unit, and students are expected to research tutorials/software skills/techniques to enable their particular, unique project. |
