| Syllabus: | Introduction to public health, its origins and development. Environmental, social and biological determinants. Measurement and surveillance. Major public health issues globally and with Indigenous peoples. Planning, implementing and evaluating public health interventions. Public health topics explored include: environmental health, public health nutrition, sexual health, emergency and disaster management, health promotion, ethics, occupational health & safety, developing partnerships and influencing policy and legislation. |
