Syllabus: | Use a body systems approach to assess, diagnose, manage, document and evaluate care for patients in a surgical or medical setting. Students will apply analytical problem solving to make decisions for implementing evidence based practice and health standards in nursing. Identification and management of co-morbid health states and improvement with health outcomes associated with illness will be a key focus of this unit. In this unit students will undertake simulated learning and complete designated hours of supervised Professional Practice Experience (PPE) which will occur in Interprofessional health context. Students are expected to take responsibility for supervised patient care appropriate to their scope of practice. |
