Syllabus: | Patient-centred clinical practicum, 200 hours. Students assume increasing levels of autonomy in assessment, diagnosis, management and evaluation of care. Evidence-based, safe prescribing of medications. Ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests. Systematic, professional and legally defensible NP level documentation. Application and evaluation of evidence-based research and clinical guidelines in health conditions. Focus on health in terms of family, community and social justice. Inter-professional clinical collaboration and leadership. |
