Syllabus: This unit reviews a range of key social policy concepts, as well as exploring the interconnectedness between international policy influences, national policy priorities and social work practice. The unit also examines a range of policy discourses, considering the role of social workers and other relevant professionals; and the scope of frontline workers to influence policy debate, along with the key skills necessary to influence policy advocacy, activism and implementation.
