Syllabus: | Behavioural health science perspective of mental health. Critical appraisal of mainstream diagnostic classification of major illness. Global context of mental illness. Partnership in care framework in the formulation of assessment, treatment and management models and application to nursing, paramedic or midwifery practice. Psychosocial interventions to assist people living with major mental health/illness issues. Accountability and social justice issues. |
