Syllabus: | Sequences and series leading to Taylor’s series; Multidimensional analysis 2-D to n-D functions. Curve, plane and volume parameterisation. Complex functions. Graphing functions; 2-D, 3-D, n-D calculus. Line integrals. Surface integrals. Volume integrals. Iterated integrals; Probability theory. Sample space, events and the definition of probability. Joint and conditional probabilities, Bayes’ theorem, independent events and Bernoulli trials. Discrete and continues random variables, cumulative distribution functions, probability mass functions, probability density functions. Expectations, variances, functions of random variables. Engineering applications and probability theory. |
