| Syllabus: | This unit is comprised of a research based project that aims to ensure that the student has mastered the subject matter of the course and is able to apply the knowledge gained to a real life situation. Students have to conduct research based activities on an approved topic under an academic supervisor assigned/approved by the project coordinator. The major topic will cover some aspects of oil and gas production and operation through comprehensive literature survey, computer and/or laboratory studies. For industry sponsored projects (if available), students will have at least one academic supervisor and possibly one an industry supervisor from the sponsor company. Each student is required to present a seminar as part of the requirements and submit a written thesis report. |
