Syllabus: | The aim of this unit is to understand a public health approach to injury control. The scientific principles of injury causation, the magnitude and cost of the injury problem, and injury prevention models will be investigated. Students will understand educational/behavioural, engineering/technological and legislative/regulatory strategies appropriate to injury control. Students will develop skills to develop and implement injury prevention programs. |
