| Syllabus: | The aim of this unit is to achieve a balance between the practical and theoretical aspects of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) risk management. The unit introduces OHS risk management process before teaching the elements of an OHS risk management system. More advanced risk assessment techniques will be introduced at the end of the unit to enable students to further their knowledge in quantitative risk assessment and system safety. Students will also learn how to research and recommend OHS technology to eliminate and reduce risk. Even though this unit is designed for working adults from different industries with minimal experience in OHS, students with experience in OHS will benefit by increasing depth of fundamental concepts and be introduced to more advance concepts. |
