Syllabus: | Temporary structures in construction with particular emphasis on the design and construction of formwork and falsework scaffolding systems using AS 3610 Formwork Code. Assessment of cranes for construction sites. Earthworks: Earthmoving plant types; Earthwork volumes; mass haul diagrams; soil volume properties; grade and rolling resistances; assessment of earthmoving plant including track-type tractors, scrapers, hydraulic excavators and shovels, front end loaders, off highway trucks, compaction plant; Fleet production; optimisation techniques. |
