Syllabus: | Lecture series on the history, philosophy and principles of colour theory and colour ordering systems, and their theoretical and practical application to interior architecture, including issues of sustainability and environmental sensitivity. A series of research colour studies explore its association with material, texture, space and light. Design and presentation of a colour scheme for an architectural interior demonstrate an understanding of colour theory, paint finishes and specification using commercial specifiers and the ability to communicate creative design solutions through graphic and model-making techniques. |
