Syllabus: | Overview of international health; patterns of disease and health in developed and developing countries; resurgent and emergent diseases; health impact of globalisation and climate change; the background and context of primary health care; models of health and illness; health program policy, planning and evaluation; health and development; the socio-cultural context of health and illness; the economics of health care; health and community development; community participation; health workers; common, major health problems- diarrhoea, malnutrition, the HIV/AIDS epidemic; immunization, family planning and reproductive health. |
