Syllabus: | Use a systems approach to assess, diagnose, manage, document and evaluate care related to complex health needs of patients/families. Apply therapeutic communication and meet nursing competency standards in selected clinical contexts. Assess and manage care needs of people with psychological crisis. Neurological assessment. Integrated comprehensive physical and mental health assessment. Advanced pain management. Specialised medication preparation, dosage calculation, administration and recording. Advanced respiratory and cardiovascular support: ventilation, chest drains, underwater seal drainage, haemodynamics monitoring, recording electrocardiography. Advanced foot assessment and ulcer management. Manual handling update. |
