| Syllabus: | In this unit we will explore the fascinating world of embedded systems embedded in Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FGPAs) (how embedded is that!). In this unit you will learn Altera’s Quartus II, a software suite that facilitates the construction of complete embedded systems; i.e. processor, memory, peripherals, custom modules; inside an FGPA. The laboratory work is designed to develop your engineering skills through problem-solving in teams. During lectures you will participate in active learning activities to create content on embedded systems topics. |
